Urban dwellers and their trivialities inspire me. By creating a visual documentary of quotidian lives, individual micro-narratives are highlighted, offering solace for my own ambivalent nature. By tracing these narratives, vulnerabilities become magnified, unearthing that which resides beyond the surface. It becomes effortless to discern tremendous beauty in the peripheral, in the stranger pondering his existence, or a stray dog roaming about. Every painting is a mirror of one’s own inner journey, unveiling the polarities integral to both the internal and external elements of creation. The photograph serves as a starting point, but as the painting process unfolds, free-flowing intuition and memory become the primary means for expression.
